Diagnostic hysteroscopy is performed under general anesthesia in a fully equipped and sterile operating room environment. The procedure typically takes 10–20 minutes, and patients are discharged on the same day. Patients are required to fast for at least 6–8 hours prior to the procedure. Pre-operative blood tests and anesthesia evaluation are conducted beforehand. Mild cramping and light spotting may occur after the procedure, which is normal and usually resolves quickly. Patients are advised not to drive on the same day and to rest. If necessary, a biopsy may be taken during the procedure and sent for pathological evaluation.
